Wireless Telecommunications Permits are granted by the Planning Division in accordance with SVMC Title 5, Chapter 35. Wireless Telecommunications Permits are to provide for wireless telecommunication (\"telecom\") facilities on public and private property consistent with federal and state law while ensuring public safety, reducing the visual effects of telecom equipment on public streetscapes, protecting scenic views, and otherwise mitigating the impacts of such facilities. More specifically, the regulations contained herein are intended to:(1)Encourage, but not require, the location of antennas on or adjacent to water tank sites owned by water purveyors;(2)Encourage the location of antennas in nonresidential areas;(3)Encourage co-location at new and existing antenna sites;(4)Encourage telecom facilities to be located in areas where adverse impacts on the community and on public views are minimized. All telecom facilities shall be camouflaged to the greatest extent possible.<\/SPAN><\/P>
