ESRI ArcCatalog 9.3.1.3000 en The Simi Valley CURB (City Urban Restriction Boundary) Line data layer depicts the approximate location of the Simi Valley CURB Line in the Simi Valley General Plan, as established by Measure O, which was adopted by a vote of the people on November 3, 1998. The location of the CURB line depicted in this data layer is only an estimated location and is based on an interpretation of Exhibit A, Figure 1, contained in Measure O, the original of which is on file with the City Clerk of the City of Simi Valley. The purpose of the Simi Valley CURB Line is to protect the agricultural, open space, viewshed, watershed, and environmentally sensitive habitat lands surrounding Simi Valley from premature or unnecessary ubran uses without a vote of the people. Until December 21, 2020, the City is prohibited from approving urbanized development, developments requiring a significant expansion of the present sewer system or the creation of new community sewer systems, developments which would create residential lots less than 10 acres in area, or establishing commercial or industrial development not related to agriculture or the production of minerals, without a vote of the people to amend Measure O.
